That's all folks

On Wednesday, August 16 (Day 183) my 2006 Western Pacific Deployment ended as we pulled pierside San Diego. Lady Anne and my cousins Charles and Sarah met me at the pier. After having lunch at Miguel's Cocina on Coronado, Lady Anne dropped the cousins off at the airport and started five days of quality reunion time together.

It is a good feeling to be home! It's been a tough six months. Thank you to all those who wrote to me and sent me letters and packages out there. You really brought my spirits up during a long and arduous time. Thank you also to those who followed all my silly adventures on the blog.

I have about five free days of vacation before I go back to work on Tuesday. Half of the ship is on leave, so the workdays really are not going to be too arduous over the next couple of weeks. I go on leave myself on September 1 and will go home to Chicago for a week and a half to visit the family for a while.
