My schedule since Hawaii has finally fallen into a routine. This is a good thing because it has brought some consistency to my workday. The days are finally getting more relaxed as I have settled into the comfort of routine. Here is my typical daily schedule:
9:30pm until 2:30am Bridge watch
2:30am until 7:00am Sleep
7:00am until 8:00am Organize my daily calendar and meet with my department
8:00am until 3:00pm Work on safety department workload and personal qualifications (with lunch squeezed in there somewhere)
3:00pm until 4:00pm Meetings
4:00pm until 6:30pm relax for a few minutes, then go to the gym, shower and eat dinner
6:30pm until 7:30pm more work
7:30pm until 9:30pm try to get some sleep before the next watch
9:30pm Start all over again…
The hardest part about my new routine is that I usually only get about 6 hours of sleep a night. I sometimes try to build a nap in there somewhere. Otherwise I’m dragging my tail right about 1pm or so.
