Well, only two more days in our Nelson Bay paradise. On Sunday we will be leaving for Sydney. We will be spending our last five days exploring that city before we head back to San Diego on July 1. We will be momentarily sad to leave Nelson Bay, but we've been here for over two weeks and we're starting to feel restless.
Highlights of our stay:
1. Petting zoo. We loved the koalas and especially the kangaroos!
2. Whale watching.
3. Il Porto. An amazing Italian restaurant! It was sooo good, Lady Anne and I had to go there two nights in a row! We also plan to visit there again before we leave.
4. Sand dunes. We took a 6WD bus over the Stockton Beach sand dunes. Lady Anne rode down the steep dunes with me on a sled; she was so brave! (I went down once backwards). We caught pipis and released them back into the sand (I'll explain this one later). So much fun!
5. Michel's Patisserie. No patis, but great coffee and cake.
6. Our little apartment in Teramby Court.
Still to come:
1. Spa day tomorrow.
2. Local winery visit.
3. Sydney! Symphony at the Sydney Opera House, "The Producers", and other stuff...
Soooo much to do still, and sooo many pictures we can't share until we get home (the internet connections here are VERY slow). More to come...
