Recycling rules!!

Last week I did some research on how to recycle used electronics. We had an old broken DVD player that we wanted to recycle instead of tossing into the dumpster. I was also curious as to how they actually recycle old electronics, and was interested to hear what they do. After taking out the parts that contain hazardous materials, they shred the electronic device using an industrial shredder, separate the shreds into its constituent materials (how they do this I have no idea), and then ship it out for recycling.
