Today is October 7, and Lady Anne and I went up to L.A. for the Washington-USC football game. The game was a lot closer than anyone expected, but in the end the Trojans won yet another contest, 26-20.The more significant fact about this date is that it marks the one year anniversary of my present tour of duty on Peleliu. Today marks the beginning of perhaps the most miserable year of my life ever. The more time that passes the sooner the day will come when I get to leave. I can't wait.
