Well, the Cubs have come back on another upswing. They are presently 6-1 on their present road trip (including 2 of 3 from ST LOUIS!!) with three more games this weekend in San Francisco.
Now I have no delusions that the Cubs have any chance whatsoever of making the playoffs (they are 6 1/2 games back in the wild card with 22 games left to play), but it would be nice if the Cubs could post a winning record this season. They are presently 69-71. If they were to post a winning record, that would be three seasons in a row. This would be the first time the Cubs have posted this many winning seasons in a row since they had six in a row from 1967-1972.
I'm not getting my hopes up though.
