30 days later

Well I sure was a December slacker when it came to the blog. Granted, I was really busy leading up to the holidays, but howw many of you are really going to believe that I couldn't spare 20 minutes to come up with a good blog entry the entire month of December?

Instead of going through a long diatribe of what I did this last month, here's a list:

Dec 1-3: Bachelor for three days as Lady Anne went home to Chicago to watch the Harvard Church cantata
Dec 6/8: Squadron Christmas party and friend's Christmas party
Dec 10-11: Testified in deposition for a lawsuit (someone is suing the Navy for an incident that happened while I was safety officer on Peleliu; may explain more in later blog entry)
Dec 18: Squadron change-of-command dinner
Dec 20: Hail-and-Farewell ceremony at tailgater for Poinsettia Bowl. My department planned this event, which pretty much made me the coordinator. Most of us went to the game afterwards, in which Navy lost to Utah 35-32.
Dec 23-31: In Chicago for holidays. On Dec 30 went ot my very first Bears game at Soldier Field. Very exciting.

L.A. and I also went to the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl on Jan 1. My USC Trojans were playing L.A.'s Fighting Illini, so it was pretty exciting...until the game started and USC routed Illinois 49-17.

Pretty long month. I think we're both looking forward to getting back into our routines.
